When I found out I was having a baby boy, I couldn’t have been happier. Then I started watching little boys as they played and wrestled in the parks or the way a lot of them seemed to behave in public. My pure joy began to turn into anxiety. After the shock of how different boys are from girls set in, the costs started adding up in my head. How many clothes would I be going through in my little guy’s lifetime? The clothes that were the most expensive claim that they last the longest but even if that was true – how could I afford them? My friend – mother of 3 boys herself – introduced me to boys western wear. With a few pairs of jeans and the majority of my son’s shirts being western shirts, I have felt confident that I will only need to buy him new clothes when he grows out of his current western wear.
Boys are built to play hard and get dirty. With the clothes out now that are meant, in particular, to look good, its difficult to find something that will last as long as they play and still be comfortable enough for them to want to play.
