Tshirt Size
Does anyone have a simple tshirt pattern for Barbie size dolls?
Sleeves are kind of difficult to sew since they sometimes turn out smaller than Barbie’s arms.
So here’s a simple and quick alternative for Barbie t-shirts that I like to do:
- Fold a piece of cloth in half
- Cut it as a rectangle (Barbie’s shoulder width is roughly 3 1/2″)
- Sew the two sides and leave about 1/2″ or so for her arms
- Fold the shirt in half (vertically) and cut the neck last so that the shoulders are even
-Obviously, turn the cloth inside out and the shirt should end up looking like a baby-T on Barbie
*From her shoulders to her waist she is roughly 4″, but you can make the shirt however long or short you want it. Barbie’s shoulder width is roughly 3 1/2″
*You don’t have to measure Barbie, just kind of eyeball it.
You should be able to do this fairly quickly, sew well so that it doesn’t come undone.
By the way you can follow basically the same logic when sewing underwear, just sew the sides.
