Top Black
Stupidly did a dark wash with a new black top. How do I restore my, now, grey underwear back to hot pink+red?
They are usually fine in a dark wash but this was a brand new black top and I just didn’t think!
I’ve had a search for answers but it’s mostly for restoring greys to whites. There must be *some* method! I’m mostly annoyed about my (now, non-)matching sets as I washed the bras separately…

In a large bowl, mix up a solution of 3 parts warm water and 1 part color safe bleach, like Clorox2. Put your underwear in and let them soak for about twenty minutes, then thoroughly hand scrub them against each other. Then put the wet underwear by itself in the washer with the water setting as hot as the fabric allows, add laundry soap and run the washer just like you would for a full load of clothes.
One thing: This has worked very well to get many different things out of fabric and restore it to like new, but I’ve never tried it specifically for removing dye that has bled from other clothes. I hope it works for you!
