Skirt Long
If I wear a long denim skirt in the summer will I look odd and perhaps Jewish? Are they out of style?
My friends and family teased me about wanting to wear it outside…will it make me look like a religious person, a jew, or just someone who doesn’t know much about style and trends? When is a long denim skirt appropriate?
Just to wear outside, to a store or something. No, I just wanted to wear one to be cooler and thought it was cute and curve-hugging.
I am pear-shaped and I wouldn’t be comfortable or look good in a mini skirt. Otherwise, I would wear them, because I think they’re cute too. Also, I think knee-length denim skirts or skooters just make people look wider.
Also, I’m sorry of offending anyone but I just meant looking too modest.
You could fix the problem of looking “like a religious person” by shortening the skirt to the knee. I have a long denim skirt that I bought years ago and it still fits great but the length is no longer in style so I’m going to have it hemmed to the knee.
I know I will get much more use out of it and a knee length skirt (in a classic cut) is always in fashion!! And I’m sure the same would work for you.

I understand your pear shape but I think you should try and fold the skirt up to knee length just to see if it makes you look wider. And besides you can always combat that with pairing the skirt with something that will balance out the proportions
Just give it a try…if you don’t you’ll never know if it looks good on you!!! Trust me!!!
