Melaleuca Products- A Review from a Non-Distributor

Before joining the Melaleuca opportunity you need to know what products you would be marketing or using. To be successful in an MLM you need to use and enjoy the products yourself. You won’t get excited and enthusiatic customers without being excited and enthusiastic about Melaleuca products yourself. I have never been a distributor with Melaleuca, but I do have experience with their extensive product line

Melaleuca or ‘The Wellness Company’ has a focus on healthy and environmentally friendly products. A large portion of the products use Tea Tree Oil for the active ingrediant (the name Melaleuca actually comes from the plant that produces tea tree oil). Tea tree oil is a safe and natural product to use in your home and is an antiviral, antifungal, and antiseptic. For many years tea tree oil has served as an alternative and natural medicine.

There are several categories of Melaleuca products:

Home Melaleuca Products

This range is primarily environmentally friendly cleaning products for your home including laundry, dish soap, dishwasher soap, glass cleaner, basic cleaner, etc. Products names include: MelaPower, LemonBrite, DiamondBrite, etc.

Health Melaleuca Products

Health products often use tea tree oil in them which is supposed to be a very good alternative health treatment for many ailments. Of course, this means that many of Melaleuca’s creams and ointments have the very strong smell of tea tree, which certainly did not appeal to me. These include pain reliever, vitamins and minerals, antacid tablets, joint aid, immune-support, sun and lip care, etc. Some brand names are: Pain-a-Trate, Calmacid, CounterAct, etc.

Sports Nutrional/Weight loss Melaleuca Products

This is not a huge range, and as with most weight loss type food does not taste amazing, but is certainly not too bad. This is supposed to be a very healthy way to manage weight. The range includes, nutrition shakes, protein bars, and organic snacks, etc. Brand names include: Access bars, Proflex bars, Attain shakes and bars, Sustain shakes.

Personal Melaleuca Products

This includes shampoos and toiletries, shower gel, acne wash, toothpaste, etc. The range is better smelling than some of the other Melaleuca products, and is good quality. The toothpaste tastes a little strange, but the healthy products without many harsh chemicals is a good trade-off. Products include: Body Satin, Alloy Wash, Zapit, etc.

Cosmetic Melaleuca Products

The cosmetic range is the Nicole Miller Brand. It includes both makeup and skincare. The makeup will just give you the basics, and the skin care really is some of the best on the market. The range may suit the average woman, but if you really enjoy and have a large makeup collection this may not be enough for you.

The bottom line is this. If you want to start using environmentally friendly and healthy products instead of the store brands this may be a good company for you to join. The products are pricier than the average brand, but this is normal and costs can be covered by growing your business income.

The major problem with Melaleuca is their focus on products leads to lack of focus on marketing and training their distributors. They have always trained distributors to market to friends and family, which is why many Melaleuca distributors have ended up with a small check every month. If you couple a love of the Melaleuca products and opportunity with good training this could be a great opportunity for you.

Filmmaker Ridley Scott has long been intrigued by historical events and their contemporary echoes, a fascination that evinces itself again here in the violent tale of Balian of Ibelin (Orlando Bloom), a Jerusalem blacksmith who rallies his people against foreign invaders during the Crusades of the 12th century. Breaking with a successful modern collaboration with Hans Zimmer that yielded such ecle…
