Navy NCIS Seasons 1-6
NCIS (Naval Criminal Inverstigative Service) is a detective televison series about a supporting group. This group beongs to Pentagon’s special department, obligated to investigate crimes involving the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, of which there’s any trace of testimony and of whom is in high rank or position, or low.
This group which is run independently of navy command system is led by a special agent named Leroy Jethro Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon). Gibbs is an experienced investigator. He’s smart, hard and willing to break the rules in order to fulfill the task. As a former RCU agent, Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo (played by Michael Weatherly) works directly under Gibbs and his excellent abilities come from rich experience in investigation practice. The next member is Kate Todd (played by Sasha Alexander). She is a former special agent in Secret Service Department, beautiful and firm, and she has ever had a hand-to-hand conflict with Gibbs (episode 1, seasons 1). There’s Abby Sciuto (played by Pauley Perrette) who works at technical analysis. She is a wizard at science. Her black humor and Gothic style dress bring out the best in each other. In Season 2, there’s a new member Timothy McGee (played by Sean Murray) who graduated from MIT. He becomes a probationary special agent in Gibbs’s group because of his mastery of computer. Mecical Examiner Donal “Ducky” Mallard (played by David McCallum) gives his support from behind the scenes. He’s a real hip.
From murder, espionage to terrorism act, submarine stealing, these special agents have left their footprints all over the world as to investigate all the criminal cases involving the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Produced by CBS Broadcasting Inc. like CSI (Crime Scene Investigation), however, NCIS is very different from CSI — NCIS focus on one case in each episodo; CSI concentrates on the collection and investigation of crime evidence while NCIS concentrates on the suspense and complicated cases and its distinctive heros.
The case at the beginning of Season 2 is a representative sample. A military helicopter stopped in the middle of wheat fields and the wheat fields around the helicopter all fell down into a circle. However, the marine who flew this helicopter disappeared. Such a beginning makes audience think of little green men. But NCIS is The X Files after all, the truth of the matter shall return to the true life.
The distinctive heros also become one of the most attractive points. From the leader Gibbs to the assistant of a mecical examiner, every member of NCIS has particular features.
