You Can’t Miss a Lilly Pulitzer Sale
You know the doors are going to open at seven a.m. sharp and that there will be hordes of people just waiting to get their hands on the great merchandise during this latest Lilly Pulitzer sale. Just like the rest of the Lilly fanatics standing in line, you have looked forward to this sale for months and know which dress, shoes, menswear and childrens’ apparel you want. The lock clicks and here we go!
First, you spot one of the many dresses you have had your eye on. You read the half off sign and grab what you can. Five other women are vying for the last Lilly shift dress on the rack and you feel victorious as you walk away stuffing your chosen one in the little pink bag. At this point the frenzy is at a fevered pitch and women are just grabbing what they can– not caring what style, what color, or what the size is. These minor details can be sorted out later in one of the far corners of the store where they will purge any unneeded items. I stress the word unneeded because they know what their credit limit is and that will be the biggest determining factor of what they walk away with today.
On to the men’s section. You reach for the amazing ties that Lilly Pulitzer has had on the runway only twelve months ago and feel like you have really hit the jackpot because there are three left – one for your husband, one for your father, and the other will be for your brother. Perfect.
Since time and supplies are running down, you hit the shoe section coming away with hot pink wedge sandals with leather straps. And finally the children’s section where you score a matching short and halter top for your toddler princess that you know she will look beautiful in. What a successful day.
