What is the value of an antique iron pedestal bath tub in great condition?
We are thinking of selling an old iron pedestal tub and want to know the true value of it. It is in good condition and we know it is about 80 years old. We are taking it out of the house it was originally in. It does not have the usual claw feet, but a pedestal all around.
The last I checked, a clawfoot in perfect condition is about $1500.
Which coincidentally is what a new “old-fashioned” tub from Kohler or American Standard costs made from acrylic. Cast Iron is much preferable for holding in the heat and durability.
But, there is always Ebay to see what the market thinks also.
