The site of several annual tournaments appropriate for guests’ participation, The Buccaneer specializes in pairing up players for enjoyable matches year ‘round. Weekly round robins, and doubles drills for ladies, cardio clinics and other seasonal clinics are scheduled for guests.
Caneel Bay Tennis Resort, A Rosewood Resort, U.S. Virgin Islands
Situated on a 170-acre peninsula surrounded by the beauty of the Virgin Island National Park and seven pristine beaches, Caneel Bay is on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. With 3/5 of the island preserved under the national park system, the island remains the least commercial and low key of the three USVI islands. This tiny island is only accessible by boat or ferry. There are nine fantastic tennis courts at Carlisle Bay, eight cushioned hard courts and one artificial grass court. Four courts are lit for night play. A fully equipped Pro Shop is happy to assist with any guest requirement. Rackets, shoes and a ball machine are complimentary.
Professional tuition is available for all ages and all standards either as group lessons or privately. There are also a host of clinics from a never touched a racket before clinic through to volley clinic, serve clinic and doubles clinic.
Challenge matches, round robin doubles and childrens tennis are part of the programme. Corporate tournaments can also be arranged.
