Teen Bras And Teen Lingerie
Teen bras are recognized by various labels. At times they are referred to as training bras, starter bras, first bras and sometimes bralets or preteen bras. Customarily girls begin to require a bra between the ages of 11 to 13. Even though their bodies are not fully mature, some young girls decide that they should already be wearing one.
What A First Bra Should Be
A first bra should be very comfortable and feel like it isn’t there. To help a young girl become comfortable with training bras and preteen lingerie, choose pretty bra styles in fun colors with a touch of lace. This will encourage her to feel good about wearing preteen lingerie every day.
Bra Band And Cup Size
Like womens brassieres, teen bras have a bra band size. The bra band attaches with hooks in the back and goes all the way around the torso with sizes that start at 28-30-32 etc. If the bra band is too tiny, then it will be too tight and could hurt. Alternately the band will lift in the back of it is too big. The bra hooks allow the adjustment of the band length as needed.
The cup size is also worth noting. The bra cups support and cover the breasts. Bra cup sizes start from AA to A to B, etc. If, a starter bra is too small the breast tissue will creep out on the sides or top of the bra. Alternately, if the cup size is too big, it will become wrinkled and show underneath the clothes.
The bra straps are what hold first bras in place. Getting the right bra strap length is essential. It is important that the bra straps are not too long or too short. Why? If they are too short the back of the bra will creep up and become difficult to wear. The bra straps should be straightened so that they are an easy fit, and the bra brand should be straight all the way around.
Wearing Teen Bras
In order to find out if a teen bra is comfortable, give it a try. Walk around while wearing it for several minutes. Sit down. Stretch your arms back and forth. How does it feel? If, it does not feel right, then try another bra style. A brassiere that fits comfortably is like wearing nothing; you cannot feel it.
Once you have found a bra that fits well, do not go overboard and buy more than two or three at a time. Why? During the teen years bra sizes can change frequently as the body develops.
Also, don’t forget about preteen underwear. You can either choose teen panties, boy shorts, or briefs that complete the teen lingerie set. Buying underwear and panties that match the bras make them more stylish. Teaching girls how to combine their bras, panties, camisoles, and teen lingerie will build self esteem as they grow up.
