Methods To Set Your Own Exceptional Fashion Guidelines
Fashion gurus are not the only people who are licensed to set guidelines for the fashion industry. Well, they weren’t born yet when the aborigines have decided on the kinds of clothing that will represent the entire village or ethnic group. Anyone can set certain style guidelines. Sorority Pi Phi did just that by drafting and imposing hilarious style guidelines. At least, they were unique.
“I expect everyone to be wearing accessories. This is an important part of every outfit and can make or break any ensemble,” quotes one rule on jewelry. “Bangles need to coordinate. I’m not saying you have to wear a Harry Winston wreath, but I am saying I won’t tolerate any gross plastic shizzzz. I love things on wrists and I demand earrings if your ears are pierced. However, “No watches with timers or any kind of Indigo light are allowed.” I will have the time to keep you informed, so unless your watch is a piece of jewelry, you don’t need it. Put on a bangle.
Pi Phi members should not wear satin unless they weigh under 130 pounds or the piece is from Dolce & Gabbana or Betsey Johnson (Ed note: Betsey Johnson as the epitome of class? Ha-ha-ha!) Ouch! I gotta slash on my carbo and double my effort in the gym. Lizzie Miller, you absolutely won’t look good in it, not even that close. “If you do not know if something is appropriate/works, email me a picture of it and I shall discuss things with you.” She’s definitely brimming with so much self confidence.
What about adding some more cool rules? No frumpy clothes or muffin top. Booties ok if you can pull them off, aka probably not. Leggings must be of a certain amount and not from American Apparel. Demands are completely hilarious, but not all are a waste of time. For instance, girls will surely look good if they have “No chapped lips or mustaches.” A little color should bring our beauty in them so “Blush is not optional.” Get waxed, cut, colored and groomed!!!! Mani and pedi prior to Ithaca!!!! Although vain, doing so will make you feel good about yourselves. So it’s not really bad at all – just hilarious.
Can you imagine rules regarding t-shirts and polo shirts? If they are as strict as those guidelines, poor girls will have to worry themselves about these things than the actual house rules set by parents.
